Weapon Changer I
School Transmutation (polymorph); Level Alchemist 3
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (A shard of metal)
Duration 10 min./level (D)
When you cast this spell, you can assume the form of any weapon of a type you are proficient with or that a touched creature is proficient with. Your weapon form is made of standard materials for a weapon of its type but has an enhancement bonus equal to your caster level divided by 3 (Max +5) and deals bonus elemental damage on each hit equal to your Intelligence modifier. This elemental damage can be any combination of elemental damage types with values not exceeding your Intelligence modifier chosen when you change form and cannot be changed without recasting the spell.
Additionally, you may substitute any amount of enhancement bonus for weapon special abilities as appropriate for a weapon whose form you’ve assumed. You may select from the list of weapon special abilities valued at +1 or +2 cost, and you must always have at least a +1 enhancement bonus on the weapon form to have any special abilities.
While weapon changed, you retain your senses and can still see, hear, and generally perceive your surroundings. You also retain the ability to speak, but your voice seems oddly disembodied and emanates from your weapon form. All of your normal abilities, including hit points, saving throws, resistances, etc, also apply, but you cannot take any actions except to dismiss this spell. Any effect that would target your weapon form uses your statistics to determine the outcome. If your HP drops to a value that would normally cause a weapon of the type you assume to gain the Broken quality, your weapon form also gains that quality. If your HP is reduced to 0 or less, you immediately return to your normal form and respond appropriately to your HP value.
